Occupants are trying to hide the consequences of the attack on the airfield in Saki: details have surfaced

The Russian Federation is trying very hard to hide the consequences of the attack on the military airfield in Saki (temporarily occupied Crimea). This may be an indirect indicator that the attack has worked.

This assumption was made by Natalia Gumenyuk, head of the Joint Press Center of the Operational Command "South", commenting on the "cotton" in Crimea on the air of the telethon "United News". As a reminder, the explosions near the Saki airfield occurred on the night of January 5-6.

"We have completed combat work on a military facility of significant importance. Let's hope that the consequences that are still being investigated will be even more convincing. The fact how hard the Russians are trying to hide them is an indirect evidence of this," noted Humeniuk.

She said that this is a command and control facility, i.e., a concentration of the distribution of forces and means and coordination of air traffic, among other things.

"It is also a facility where ammunition was supposed to be stored... We hope that the data being investigated will be as extensive as possible," said a representative of the South Command.

Spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ihnat also spoke about the attack on the Russian airfield Saki during the telethon. He said that there was a protected bunker on the territory, which was used as a control center. It was previously hit by cruise missiles.

"There is intelligence data, there is radio communication that the missiles reached their target," Ihnat said. At the same time, the Russians traditionally claimed to the public that all the missiles were intercepted by their air defense system.

"We have the appropriate objective control that there was a hit. There is no information yet on how serious the consequences of this strike are," the Air Force spokesman said.
