On December 23, Russian troops attacked Kirovohrad region with missiles. The enemy's massive missile attack was repelled by air defense forces: the missiles were destroyed over the Kropyvnytskyi and Oleksandriia districts.

However, the fragments of the downed missiles damaged roofs, fences and cars. This was reported by the head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration Andriy Raikovych.

"Today Kirovohrad region is under a massive missile attack. The defenders of the sky have been working. Targets over Kropyvnytskyi and Oleksandriya districts were destroyed. Shrapnel damaged roofs, fences and cars," he said.

Raikovych added that as of 12:00, the Regional military administrations had not received any information about the victims of the falling debris.

A message about the air alert was posted on the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration's Telegram channel at 09:55, as the region was under the threat of a missile strike.

Half an hour later, Raikovych asked the residents of the region "not to film or post anything online."

The air raid alert was canceled at 11:16 a.m.

As a reminder, at around 10 am on December 23, Ukraine was hit by an air raid alert: ballistic missile warnings were issued in southern Ukraine, and explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih and Kropyvnytskyi.

In the evening of December 22, the Russians began attacking Ukraine with Iranian kamikaze drones. Air defense forces destroyed all 9 attack UAVs over Odesa and Khmelnytskyi regions.
