Information is being clarified: the Armed Forces of Ukraine clarify the situation with the liquidation of the Commander of the Black Sea Fleet
The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine responded to a video by the Russian Defense Ministry showing the allegedly living commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Viktor Sokolov. They said they were clarifying information about the elimination of the Russian general.
According to the press service of the Special Operations Forces, available sources of the Special Operations Forces claim that the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet is among the 34 dead, but many have not yet been identified due to the fragmentation of body fragments.
"Since the Russians were urgently forced to publish a response with Sokolov allegedly alive, our units are clarifying the information. This is part of the procedure for collecting data on the results of the operation," the SSO said.
It should be noted that on September 26, the Russian Defense Ministry published a video of a meeting of the department's board, which was allegedly attended by the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Sokolov. He does not say anything in the published recording. It is currently impossible to confirm the authenticity of the video.
The network notes that the video fragment with Sokolov is of low quality and does not have a date, which may indicate that it was taken from the archive.
