AFU destroyed camouflaged Russian's drone operators station with an accurate strike from HIMARS. Video

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have hit the Russian ZALA-421 reconnaissance drone operators' station. It was a successful work of the HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system handed by allies from the United States.

Video of the explosion was published by journalist Yuriy Butusov on his Butusov Plus Telegram. The video was allegedly filmed in September 2023, but the location is not disclosed (to see the recording, scroll to the end of the page).

The camouflaged enemy UAV control center was found by our aerial reconnaissance team.

"After transmitting the coordinates to our rocket artillery, we struck it with HIMARS, which destroyed the occupants' station along with the transport they were using," the journalist wrote.

Consequences of the strike

According to information from the network, the fire was adjusted by the Leleka Ukrainian drone.

It is known that the ZALA 421-16E2 is manufactured by the Russian ZALA Aero Group company. It claims that this UAV can be launched from unprepared sites using a catapult and equipped with various payloads.

The manufacturer's characteristics of the ZALA 421-16E2:

- Communication range: more than 30 km;

- Maximum flight range: 35 km;

- Flight duration: 4 hours;

- Altitude ceiling: 3600 m;

- Flight speed: up to 125 km/h;

- Maximum weight: 7.5 kg;

- Payload weight: 1.5 kg.

As OBOZREVATEL wrote, fighters of the AFU Special Operations Forces "demilitarized" the ammunition warehouse of the Russian occupants in the Bakhmut direction, where they stored 9K121 Vikhr guided missiles.
