It received about 164,000 views in a day. In the video, transgender actors parodied Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper, which offended Christians around the world. The video has gathered a lot of angry comments with outrage.

The production was publicly condemned by the French bishops.

"Unfortunately, this ceremony included scenes of mockery and ridicule of Christianity, which we deeply regret. We would like to thank the representatives of other religious denominations who expressed their solidarity with us," the press release said.

MEP Marion Mareschal did not hold back her emotions either.

"To all the Christians in the world who are watching the Olympics and feel offended by this parody of the Last Supper, know that it is not France that is saying this, but a leftist minority ready for any provocation," wrote Mareschal on social media.

Mareschal is outraged by what happened

In a few days, the telecommunications company C Spire removed all advertising from the Olympic Games. C Spire is the sixth largest wireless provider in the United States.

"We were shocked by the mockery of the Last Supper during the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Paris. C Spire will pull its advertising from the 2024 Games," the company said in a statement to X.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves spoke after the announcement.

"I am proud that the private sector in Mississippi has stepped up. God will not be mocked. Common sense prevailed with C Spire," Reeves said.
