World Junior Pole Vault Champion (2022) Anthony Ammirati failed to perform well at the 2024 Olympics and became a hero on social media. The 21-year-old French athlete broke the bar with his genitals during a decisive jump.
Ammirati cleared 5.40 and 5.60 on his first attempt, but the 5.70 mark was an insurmountable barrier for him. During his next attempt, Anthony almost flew over the bar, but in the final phase, he hit it with his causal spot.
The video of the epic jump instantly spread across social media, going viral.
