"Without Russia, it's not a sport. It's a disgrace": Putin's close friend has created a myth about the greatness of the Russian Federation and insulted the Olympics

Rotenberg criticized the Olympics

The vice president of the Russian Judo Federation, Boris Rotenberg, has issued a phenomenal piece of nonsense about the greatness of Russia in world sport. In the distorted reality of one of dictator Vladimir Putin's close friends, many countries follow the example of aggressors in many disciplines.

Rotenberg said this in an interview with the propaganda outlet Sport-Express. The president of the Sochi football club, which is the main laughingstock in the Russian championship because of its constant supply of points to Zenit St. Petersburg, also called the Olympics without Russia a disgrace.

"Is Russia a sports power? Of course it is! Of course it is! People are watching us, learning from us, and watching how we are developing. We will think about whom to accept and whom not to accept. I've been in sports almost all my life - during this period I have made so many friends and comrades in all countries... We still communicate and cooperate. They are sitting around waiting for it to be over. Without Russia, it's not a sport. Look at the Olympics. What is it? It's a disgrace," Rothenberg said.

Earlier, Boris Rotenberg's son Arkady threw a real tantrum because the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) management did not congratulate him on his 200th match in the tournament.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev became a laughingstock online after he thanked dictator Vladimir Putin for "allowing him to run for office."
