'We won't see him again': Bellew gives surprise prediction on Usyk's career
Former world heavyweight champion Tony Bellew expressed confidence that after the fight with Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24) and victory in it Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) will end his career. The ex-rival of our compatriot noted that the Ukrainian will be among the greatest boxers in history.
This Bellew said in an interview with the portal Safe Betting Sites. The Briton emphasized that Usyk has every chance to defeat the Gypsy King, as they call the native of Manchester, after which the Ukrainian simply will not have a worthy goal, because he will be able to collect all the belts at once in two divisions.
"I think he just wants a unification fight. He wants to win the WBC title and unify all the belts in the division and then I think he just wants to walk away. I think we won't see him again after that. I just think he's going to want to walk off into the sunset, and he should do it. He deserves to do it. He's pretty much accomplished everything already, so there's nowhere for him to go if he beats Tyson Fury, which he's capable of doing. If he does that, he will definitely be among the greatest," Bellew said.
Note that Tyson's promoter Frank Warren named tentative dates for the fight of the Gypsy King with Usyk. Legendary Russian Kostya Tszyu considers the fight difficult for Oleksandr, but called him the best super featherweight in the world at the moment.
And another representative of the Russian Federation Nikolay Valuev spoke disparagingly about the Ukrainian's chances in the fight with Fury. In turn, Usyk's trainer Sergey Lapin ridiculed Tyson and his team.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, Tyson Fury with the words "Who is he?" sharply expressed in the address of Oleksandr Usyk. In turn, the British Dave Allen expressed confidence that the Ukrainian has passed the peak of his career.
