Usyk denies shooting for Playboy

Oleksandr Usyk, the unified heavyweight champion of the world, denied that he was filmed for the Ukrainian edition of the men's magazine Playboy. Moreover, the boxer's team is demanding that the publisher remove the photo of the athlete that was previously published online.

Usyk himself left a comment on the ruthless_fighters page on Instagram. "Lies," the boxer wrote.

Meanwhile, Usyk's promotional company, Usyk 17 Promotions, noted that Playboy Ukraine had illegally used Oleksandr's image. "Hi Playboy Ukraine, please remove. You have no right to publish photos without the consent of Oleksandr Usyk," the boxer's team said.

At the same time, one of the social media users noted that the photo published on Playboy Ukraine's profile was not taken for the publication. "It wasn't made for Playboy, it was made before the full-scale," he wrote.

It is worth noting that Oleksandr's name is on the cover of the September issue of Playboy dedicated to Ukrainian Olympians. Its heroes are fencer Olha Harlan, wrestler Zhan Beleniuk, and climber Antonina Samoilova.

Earlier, the first photos of Harlan for Playboy Ukraine were published. The pictures that were not included in the final version of the publication were posted online. Olha herself posted a backstage video of how the shoot went.

This is not Harlan's first experience of shooting for men's magazines. In 2018, the athlete appeared in XXL magazine, delighting her fans with candid photos, including a topless one.
