Usyk startled Russian propagandists with his desire to run for president of Ukraine
Unified heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) has caused hysteria among Russian propagandists after he jokingly declared his desire to run for president of Ukraine. The words of our boxer were broadcasted by all state media of the aggressor country.
In a comment to the YouTube channel Seconds Out 36-year-old Usyk answered the question of what he will do if his fight with Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) will not take place. Our champion noted with obvious irony that he is ready to return to heavyweight, collect all the belts again and then become the head of state.
"Yeah, in that case, I'll go down to heavyweight. I'll become absolute world champion again, then I'll quit and go run for president! Zelensky? Zelensky is calm because he has power," Usyk said.
Propaganda news agencies of the aggressor country TASS, RIA "Novosti", "Izvestia" edition quoted the Ukrainian boxer, including his statement in the list of the main news of the day.
We note that before this, Usyk mocked Fury's fight with former Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Francis Ngannou and called out mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor in the ring.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, on August 26, Oleksandr Usyk will hold a mandatory defense of the championship belts in a fight against the British Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs). The opponent of the Ukrainian said that he saw fear in the eyes of our compatriot during the duel of glances.
