"Usyk sided with terrorists": Russian propaganda threw a tantrum and accused the Ukrainian of a "shameful action"
Russian propagandists have made claims against unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) after his rematch with Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs). Our compatriot was ridiculously accused of "siding with terrorists" and staging a "shameful action."
This was written by the publication Sovetsky Sport and its pseudo-journalist Roman Eremeev, who practiced the cynical and hypocritical narratives of the Kremlin. In particular, the representatives of the aggressor country did not like the fact that Usyk spoke in support of the Azov battalion soldiers at the weigh-in before the fight.
"Usyk probably can't do otherwise. He came to the weigh-in with a banner in support of the members of the terrorist organization that surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces in full force at the Azovstal plant. There is no point in discussing the Ukrainian's shameful action. Because we are talking about a person who has long called Russians and Ukrainians "brothers Slavs," visited family and friends in Crimea, and then... fired on Donbas and insulted Russian people," the article says.
It should be noted that after the rematch with Fury, our compatriot reminded the Russians of the will of the Ukrainian people by raising the saber of Hetman Ivan Mazepa above his head. The details of this performance were later revealed.
As a reminder, all three judges of the Usyk vs. Fury 2 fight gave the victory to the Ukrainian boxer with a score of 116-112. In addition, it became known what result was recorded by artificial intelligence.
Former champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) gave his version of the rounds. And the legendary Lennox Lewis admitted that he was not impressed with the fight.
This angered Tyson, who called himself stronger with a difference of at least three rounds. The Briton also staged a demarche after the fight.
At the same time, impressive statistics of the opponents' punches in the fight were published. A photo showed what Fury's face looked like after 100 missed punches from Usyk.
After the victory, the Ukrainian boxer decided on his next opponent and also made a confession about his rematch with Tyson.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, Paris Fury's reaction was caught on camera when Oleksandr was announced the winner of the rematch with Tyson. In addition, the rematch was found in a famous cartoon.
