Ukrainian Mykhailiuk moved to a new NBA club
Ukrainian national basketball team defender Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk has become a player of the Boston Celtics National Basketball Association (NBA) club. The pupil of the Cherkasky Mavpy school will spend the next season there.
This is reported by an insider of the authoritative publication The Athletic Shems Charania on his page on X, formerly known as Twitter. Boston will reportedly sign free agent Mykhailiuk to a one-year contract.
The upcoming season will be the sixth for the Ukrainian in the NBA. In 2018, Mykhailiuk was selected at the draft by the Los Angeles Lakers at number 47. He then played for the Detroit Pistons, Oklahoma Thunder, Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks.
Mykhailiuk finished last season with the Charlotte Hornets, where he played 19 games and scored 10.6 points, 2.7 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.
