Ukraine named conditions for boycotting the 2024 Olympics
Ukraine's Minister of Youth and Sports Matvii Bidnyi says Ukraine may boycott the 2024 Olympics. The Games will be held in the French capital from July 26 to August 11.
According to Bidnyi, everything will depend on further actions of the International Olympic Committee.
"If we continue to see the unconstructive position of the IOC, which will declare the participation of the henchmen of the bloody Russian regime, it will make it impossible for us to participate in the competition in Paris," the head of the department said during the TV marathon.
At the same time, Bidnyi believes that our country will try to get to the 2024 Olympics whenever possible.
"If we analyze the situation and realize that we need to participate in such competitions and use the Olympic Games to promote our position in the world and to inform the world about what is happening in Ukraine, we will continue to work in this direction," the official added.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on December 8, the International Olympic Committee decided to allow representatives of Russia and Belarus to compete at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris as neutral athletes.
Later, two-time Stanley Cup winner Dominik Hasek expressed confidence that "this decision of the IOC will cost thousands, maybe millions of lost lives of Ukrainians and Russians."
In addition, netizens used Midjourney's artificial intelligence to see what uniforms AI would choose for athletes from Russia and Belarus for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
