"To put the head in its place": Povetkin demands Ukrainians surrender to Russia

Former world heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin again called Ukrainian heavyweight Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) sick in the head for his patriotic stance. The Russian Knight, who accused the West of wanting to attack Russia, hypocritically issued a stamp of Kremlin propaganda about "fraternal peoples."

Povetkin said this in an interview with the News.ru portal. The former boxer is an ardent fan of dictator Vladimir Putin, the war in Ukraine and the murders of its civilians. Supporting these crimes, he called on Ukrainians to surrender and make friends with Russians rather than fight for their freedom and national identity.

"Did Usyk say he wanted to become president of Ukraine? I like this idea. But I would like him to get his head on straight and realize that we are fraternal peoples who should be friends with each other, not fight," Povetkin said.

Earlier, he suspected our boxer of insincere patriotism, forgetting that the Russian occupiers had seized Usyk's house in Vorzel. Povetkin also said that Ukrainians have been "brainwashed" so that they "do not understand" that they are Russians.

The Russian ex-boxer also criticized Usyk for his anti-Russian statements, saying "you can't say that". Povetkin also said that if Russia had not attacked Ukraine, " there would have been a war on our territory." The Russian also told a lie that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers "hide behind civilians and then tell something about ours."

For her part, Usyk's wife Kateryna spoke harshly of Povetkin, calling him a coward. She also spoke about a call from the Russian Knight to her husband, during which the Russian Knight tried to prove that "something was wrong in Ukraine."
