Mamiashvili criticized the IOC

The President of the Russian Wrestling Federation, Mikhail Mamiashvili, was outraged by the conditions of admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The champion of Seoul-88 gave the traditional narrative of Kremlin propaganda that the athletes of the aggressor country are required to "betray the country" and the president.

Mamiashvili said this in an interview with the propaganda channel Match TV. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime criticized the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which allegedly illegally deprives athletes of the opportunity to travel to the French capital.

"The road was closed to us 2-3 years ago, when we were told to betray the country: to condemn the war in Ukraine (as Russia shamefully calls the war in Ukraine - ed.), not to support the president. This is impossible and unacceptable. They were preparing everything in advance. A Dynamo member, an army officer - you have no right to speak. What rights are left then? I don't know how to go to the Olympics with this approach. They just don't give you a chance. De Coubertin emphasized mutual understanding and friendship regardless of nation, skin color, or religion. The symbol of everything was a handshake, and now all human foundations are being destroyed," Mamiashvili said.

Prior to that, Russian Wrestling Federation Vice President Arsen Fadzaev complained about the lack of admission to the Olympic Games of their two-time winner Abdulrashid Sadulayev.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Russian Wrestling Federation President Mikhail Mamiashvili attack ed French President Emmanuel Macron with ins ults for calling for an Olympic truce.
