Zhurova supports the war against Ukraine

Olympic speed skating champion Svetlana Zhurova was outraged by the plans of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine to develop recommendations for our athletes on how to deal with representatives of the Russian Federation at the 2024 Olympic Games. The State Duma deputy complained that her compatriots would be ignored and demanded that the "blue and yellows" withdraw from the competition.

Zhurova said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency TASS. The accomplice in the war crimes of the Russian terrorist state against Ukraine was also upset that the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in her opinion, would not confront the NOC of our country.

"I think, unfortunately, the IOC will go for it. They will realize that it is easier for them to do this because Ukrainians will do it anyway, otherwise it will be a scandal, a bad background, bad press about it. The International Fencing Federation has already gone ahead and abolished handshakes, and so have tennis players. For centuries, such handshakes were considered correct, and now they are not. I'm surprised - if you are so principled, then don't go out to play at all if you don't like it. This is not normal, the ideology of sport is being humiliated," Zhurova said.

It should be noted that she has previously accused the IOC of humiliating Russians and treating them "as second-class citizens." And the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova demanded that the committee not "incite conflicts".

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the State Duma demanded that IOC President Thomas Bach be tried under the article "on interference in the private life of Russians."
