"There were a lot of mistakes": boxing legend from Russia evaluates Usyk's victory over Fury

Former world middleweight champion Kostya Tszyu called the victory of Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) over Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) a natural outcome. The Russian admired the level of boxing demonstrated by the opponents in the fight on May 18.

He expressed this opinion in an interview with the propaganda publication Sport-Express. The legendary boxer noted that the first fight between Usyk and Fury will go down in history, and also emphasized the achievements of the Ukrainian champion, who has collected all the belts in the second weight category.

"I enjoyed the fight and I'm happy with the result – that Sasha won. He made a certain history – he became the absolute heavyweight champion, he became the absolute super heavyweight champion. I am very happy. According to my calculations, Sasha won the fight. The fight was equal. Of course, there were a lot of mistakes on both sides. I just enjoyed boxing. They gave me a good fight that will remain in my memory," said Ju.

Earlier, he issued a conspiracy theory around the fight between Usyk and Fury. Before that, Russian MMA representative Oleg Taktarov was surprised by the victory of our champion and also said that Usyk cannot be considered a legend because of his pro-Ukrainian position. Another fighter from Russia, Vyacheslav Datsyk, called the fight between Oleksandr and Tyson pornography and wanted to fight the Ukrainian with axes.

In turn, the promoter Vladimir Khryunov issued a nonsense that the result of the fight between Usyk and Fury was rigged. In addition, Russian boxer Timur Nikulin said that the fight on May 18 ended in a draw at least.
