Fury speaks out about the fight with Usyk

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) called his frivolous attitude in his fight against Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) the main reason for his defeat on May 18. The Gypsy King, as the Manchester-born fighter is known, noted that the Ukrainian turned out to be an easier opponent than he seemed.

Fury said this in an interview with his YouTube channel FUROCITY By Tyson Fury. According to the British boxer, during the fight, he enjoyed constantly annoying his opponent with his simple combinations, and at some point he just got carried away.

"It was much easier than I thought it would be. I was delivering three and four punch combinations and laughing at him. My problem was that I was probably having too much fun. Maybe it was too easy, sometimes it was so easy, like I was in the ring with a local amateur boxer. And I really enjoyed it, I was lazy. I paid the ultimate price for that in the ninth round when I was hit. That's what happens when you have too much fun," Fury said.
