"Something will be put in the food": Russian Olympic champion "uncovered a plot" against Russians at the 2024 Olympics

For the first time, Olympic champion Dmitry Vasilyev has suspected the organizers of the 2024 Games in Paris of arranging provocations against Russian athletes. The former biathlete expressed confidence that representatives of the Russian Federation should not go to the French capital.

Vasilyev said this in a commentary to the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The Vladimir Putin regime's henchman supported the words of the Kremlin leader, who spoke about the alleged collapse of world sports without Russia, and criticized the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and its president Thomas Bach.

"Our president said it right. Thomas Bach and his gang do what they want. They violate their own legislation with their decisions. They are simply destroying the Olympic movement, and this is not acceptable. If they continue to act like this, the Olympic movement is finished. Of course, Russian athletes do not need to go to the Olympics in Paris, because there will be no security for them. There will be only provocations, I do not doubt it. They will put something in their food so that they get caught doping. Why should our athletes go into the wolf's mouth?" Vasilyev said.

Earlier, the IOC announced the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympic Games in neutral status in individual events. Olympic champion in rowing Sergey Fedorovtsev called such conditions humiliating.

In turn, Ukrainian Sports Minister Matvii Bidnyi called the IOC's decision to allow Russians to participate in the 2024 Games irresponsible and also named the condition under which our country will boycott the Olympics. The International Federation of Athletics announced the complete exclusion of Russian athletes from the Games in Paris.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, former speed skater and State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova complained about Ukrainians, whom everyone is allegedly tired of because of our country's possible boycott of the 2024 Olympics. And Veronika Stepanova, an Olympic champion with the "intelligence of a washing machine," called on Russians to organize provocations at the Games.
