Putin will decide: dictatorship is finally recognised in Russia after the question about 2024 Olympics

The President of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation Irina Viner admitted that the decision on the participation of Russian athletes in the 2024 Olympics depends only on the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin. The accomplice of his criminal regime noted that the final decision of the aggressor country has not been made yet.

Viner said this on the air on the Match TV propaganda TV channel. A member of the supreme council of the United Russia political party, which vehemently supports the war in Ukraine, she added that only Putin has the right to decide the fate of athletes, although the Russian president had previously shifted the responsibility for participation in the 2024 Olympics to the athletes themselves.

"We don't know yet whether any Russian athletes will be allowed to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris. We will act as our president says," Viner said.

Earlier, two-time Olympic champion Svetlana Ishmuratova called Russian athletes's decision to travel to Paris under a neutral flag a betrayal.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, president of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), accused Ukraine of setting conditions for the admission of Russian athletes to international competitions and the 2024 Games in Paris.
