Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, has spoken out in favor of Russian athletes participating in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris under a neutral flag and without the anthem. He noted that some athletes will definitely go to the tournament in France, which caused anger from fans.

"We know that there will still be athletes who will take part in these Games in an individual capacity. I am convinced that one should participate in this way. We know that our sports authorities are working very actively to find alternative formats for international competitions, this work is underway. It is obligatory that athletes should participate in them," Peskov said in comments to the R-Sport news propaganda agency.
