"No need to be ashamed of this": Russian Olympic champion in a patriotic frenzy called for the destruction of Ukraine
Four-time Olympic champion Alexander Tikhonov has made another bellicose statement about Ukraine and its allies. The former biathlete, in a patriotic frenzy, called for "no need to be ashamed" and called for a "bombing" of our country to "resolve this issue once and for all."
Vasiliev said this in an interview with the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime expressed confidence that after the war is over and Russia's phantom victory is achieved, representatives of the aggressor country will be able to return to international competitions and the Olympics.
"First of all, we need to win in Ukraine, to solve this issue once and for all. We have to do it so that no one will ever want to do it again, and we should not be ashamed of it. We need to listen to history, Alexander Suvorov said for a reason that the war must be ended completely so that another one does not start. And only then can we apply for participation in the Games and their hosting," Vasilyev said.
Before that, he was outraged by the decision of Ukrainian athletes not to shake hands with Russians at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, saying that "there are no eternal wars."
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, three-time Olympic champion Elena Vialbe said "Russia has not declared war on anyone" and spoke nastily about the Olympic truce. In addition, the former skier called the upcoming Games in the French capital "squalor," for which she instantly received caustic comments from fans.
