"It created panic." Chisora says what will happen in the rematch between Usyk and Fury
British boxer Dereck Chisora (34-13, 23 KOs) is confident that Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) will defeat Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) in a rematch. On May 18, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision - 115:112, 113:114, 114:113.
Tyson will try to take revenge in Saudi Arabia on December 21.
"I think that this time Usyk will stop him. His relationship with Stuart Sugar Hill [Fury's trainer - Ed.] is gradually fading. Because when there was a fight, they didn't listen to each other," Chisora said in the latest episode of the talkBOXING podcast.
Dereck Chisora, who boxed Usyk in his second heavyweight fight in 2020, pointed to problems in Fury's camp as a possible reason for his failure.
"I don't think Tyson was 100 percent ready when he got in the ring. He had a bad cut, but he didn't want to get a forfeit for missing the fight. He didn't spar the way he wanted to, and he wasn't prepared enough, not prepared enough for this fight. There was no confidence. And you have to understand that he was losing confidence for the first four or five rounds," said Dereck.
Chisora believes that Fury ignored his head coach during his loss to Usyk and insists that this created "panic" in his corner between rounds.
"They [Fury's corner - Ed.] were all panicking. They knew they were going to lose the fight, so they decided they needed to start saying something because Tyson wasn't listening to Sugar Hill and he wasn't listening to his father," Chisora said of Fury's training team.
