"I'm not joking". The invincible heavyweight told what happened to Lomachenko, calling him a traitor to Ukraine
Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Vladyslav Sirenko (19-0, 16 KOs) believes that former three-division world champion Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) is not making any statements about the war with Russia because of his "vow of silence." Sirenko admitted that he is deeply disappointed by this position of Vasyl, given that he is a living legend of Ukrainian boxing.
"I do not exclude the possibility that Lomachenko took a vow of silence. And I'm not joking. If this is the case, then his position on the war in Ukraine becomes clear. Is he a traitor to Ukraine? Given his position, yes. I just don't understand him. That's all. Ukraine has been at war for two years, and he can't say this word," Sport Express quoted Sirenko as saying.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, Lomachenko did not call Russia the aggressor and also said that it was difficult for him to explain the situation. In addition, the Ukrainian recalled how the war began for him, and later refused to condemn Putin and his decision to send troops to Ukraine.
Vasya also expressed confidence that many Russians do not support the war, noting that he sees no point in appealing to the Kremlin leader, whom he called the commander-in-chief.
On February 24, a Ukrainian lightweight posted an image of a dove with two joined hands painted in the colors of the flags of Ukraine and Russia.
