"I don't believe a word of it." Fury broke his silence about the fight with Usik

Briton Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) reacted with restraint to rumors of his fight against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usik (20-0, 13 KOs) for the world heavyweight title. The Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is called, stressed that any talk in the press remains empty words until the boxers are in the ring.

Fury made the comments during a press conference on the Spanish island of Tenerife, reports the YouTube channel Boxing Social. The British World Boxing Council (WBC) belt holder added that he does not yet know if he will fight this summer.

"There's a lot of talk in the press right now. But I don't believe a word of it until it happens. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks or months. I'm not very optimistic about things like that when you're tied to a fight against somebody until it actually happens. A fight in July? One thing I can say is that if the promoters want to do something, they have to hurry up. Because it's already May," Fury said.

Recall that Saudi Arabia intends to organize Usik vs. Fury and Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) vs. Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) fights on the same night in December.
