Oleksandr Usyk, the unified heavyweight champion of the world, has been on his way to becoming a true boxing legend for a long time. The native of Simferopol, Crimea, started boxing quite late, at the age of 15, but he convinced his coach, Sergey Lapin Sr.
On its page on the social network TikTok, the publication "Ukraine Magazine" showed a video of how Usyk looked like at the age of 17. The 2004 footage was shot after Oleksandr took part in a tournament in which he won three victories, two of which were early.
