Ngannou praises Usyk-Fury fight

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Francis Ngannou has expressed surprise at Tyson Fury's (33-0-1, 24 KOs) plans to fight Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) this winter. The French athlete reminded that on October 28, he will fight the Briton, so he is unlikely to be able to recover in two months.

Ngannou wrote about this on his page on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter. The 37-year-old fighter reminded that after each boxing fight, athletes are suspended for a certain period of time for medical reasons and are not allowed to fight during this period.

"I don't know what the minimum medical suspension is in boxing, but I really don't see how Tyson can fight in December after what happens on November 28," the former UFC champion said.

On September 29, it became known that Usyk and Fury signed a contract for a fight for the title of absolute world champion. The media found out that the fight will take place before the New Year or in January. In addition, it became known whether a rematch between the Ukrainian and the Briton was planned.

Earlier, former world champion in two weight categories Paul Malignaggi expressed confidence that Tyson would avoid the fight. And former European Boxing Union (EBU) champion Spencer Oliver predicted Usyk's defeat in the fight against Fury.

As OBOZREVATEL reported earlier, Russian fans have started wishing Oleksandr Usyk a defeat against Tyson Fury. The legendary Mike Tyson gave his prediction of the fight between the Ukrainian and the Briton. Our champion's former rival Mairis Briedis also spoke about the fight.
