"He turned everything around": Jake Paul says what Fury should change in rematch with Usyk
Famous video blogger and boxer Jake Paul expressed confidence that the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) will be very exciting. According to the American, he agrees with the judges' decision to give the victory in the first fight to our compatriot.
Paul said this in an interview with MMA talkSPORT YouTube channel. The 27-year-old Cleveland native also noted that the Qigshan King, as Fury is called, needs to throw more punches to break Usyk's resistance and close the first defeat of his career.
"In the first fight, it was hard to determine the winner. Probably, on my card, Usyk won. It was a very close fight, I think the last round turned everything around. But Tyson is known for what he does in rematches. He will come back stronger than ever, but so will Usyk. I believe it will be another close fight. Tyson just has to let his hands go. Because in the later rounds of the first fight, he just stopped," Paul said.
We would like to remind you that in the first fight , Usyk defeated Fury by split decision - 114:113, 113:114, 115:112 - and became the absolute world heavyweight champion.
A month after the fight , the Ukrainian was forced to give up the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt, which Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) fought for on September 21.
Later it became known that the IBF left Usyk no choice. This situation angered the head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Dana White. The Ukrainian himself commented on his decision for the first time. Fury and Usyk will rematch on December 21. The fantastic prize money for the second fight is already known.
Our compatriot shared his expectations from the second fight with Tyson and responded to accusations of fraud during the fight with Fury on May 18. In addition, Oleksandr commented on the injury he received in the fight.
The Ukrainian announced his radical plan to continue his career after the rematch with Tyson. Usyk named the most difficult moment of the fight with the Briton. Our boxer also spoke frankly about his opponent. Coach Serhii Lapin told us what he expects from his fighter' s rematch with the Briton.
