"He knows how to intimidate": Olympic champion names favourite for Usyk-Fury fight

Harrison believes in Tyson

The British Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) is considered to be the favourite to win the fight against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. The Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is known, is favoured primarily because of his superior physical attributes.

This opinion was expressed by Sydney 2000 Olympic champion Audley Harrison in an interview with the ES News YouTube channel, Boxing Social reports. He noted that Usyk will not be able to outbox his opponent, and that both heavyweight champions are not inferior to each other in terms of their intelligence.

"People don't do Fury justice. This guy knows boxing and he knows how to fight. It's going to be very difficult for Usyk to deal with this because Tyson knows how to deal with his height, he knows how to intimidate his opponent and he knows how to close the distance and angles of attacks. I definitely give Usyk a chance, but I would definitely pick Fury as the favourite because Usyk can't outbox him. Even if Usyk manages to put Tyson on the canvas, he will get up. And they have the same boxing IQ," Harrison said.

It should be noted that after the cancellation of the fight on April 29, Usyk and Fury may fight in December as part of a grand show in Saudi Arabia. The media have already published the boxers' fees. And British boxer Anthony Joshua's (25-3, 22 KOs) promoter Eddie Hearn revealed the details of the historic event.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Oleksandr Usyk's next fight caused a real stir in Poland. Earlier, the boxer came to support the Ukrainian military and came under fire from the occupiers. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine showed how our champion fired a mortar.
