Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) and American Devin Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) have undergone the official weigh-in procedure ahead of their fight for the lightweight world title. The ceremony took place behind closed doors and without the presence of journalists, and was marked by problems for the US boxer.
According to the reputable Boxing Scene portal, Haney failed to meet the division limit of 61.2 kilograms at the first attempt. The current holder of all the lightweight championship belts initially weighed 200 grams more than the norm. He had to take off his clothes, and then weighed in at 61.1kg.
