Famous Ukrainian tennis player turns the final upside down and wins a tournament in Poland
Famous Ukrainian tennis player Diana Yastremska (WTA No. 149) won the WTA 125 tournament in Poland with a prize pool of $115,000. In the final match, the 23-year-old from Kyiv defeated Belgium's Greta Minnen (WTA No. 113) 2:6, 6:1, 6:3.
Diana's start was extremely unsuccessful. Her opponent's powerful serve knocked the Ukrainian off the court time and time again. The 7th seed of Ukraine could not find her game and lost the game 2-6.
The situation turned around in the second set, when our compatriot literally crushed her opponent, leaving her no chance, making a 6-1 victory.
After that, the psychological advantage was on Diana's side, who confidently brought the match to a logical victory.
This was Diana's fourth WTA title in her career. In doing so, she broke a streak of two defeats in the finals. The last time Jastremska won was in Strasbourg in 2019.
