The manager of former world champion Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) said that the client is not going to change the weight class. According to Egis Klimas, the lightweight division is one of the most publicized now and there are a lot of great fighters here.

"The lightweight division has risen to the heavens. Lomachenko is a guy who's already come to this division. He's not going back to the second featherweight division, even though that's his category. Lomachenko will stay at lightweight. There are a lot of names in this weight, a lot of good fighters," Klimas said in an interview with Boxing King Media, translated by Tribuna.com.

According to the Lithuanian, Lomachenko's team is not worried about who they will fight next.

"We're not worried about who we get next. Ryan Garcia, Jervonta Davis, Jorge Linares are still good fighters. There are a number of boxers out there," Klimas concluded.

Recall that Loma fought his 20th fight in the professional ring on May 21. The lightweight title fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena against Devin Haney went all 12 rounds and ended by unanimous decision 116-112, 115-113, 115-113 in favor of the American.

Note that the refereeing notes, which were published after the fight, caused a heated debate among experts and fans.

Lomachenko's team has announced that they are filing a protest of the fight result. In addition, the fight's punching stats confirm that the Ukrainian won at least five rounds.
