"Are we supposed to crawl on our knees?" Russian Federation complains that IOC turns Russians into homeless, demands "friendship of nations"

Wiener had previously announced a boycott of the Olympics

President of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (ARF) Irina Viner, who had previously announced a complete boycott of all international competitions by athletes from the Russian Federation, criticized the conditions of admission to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. She noted that representatives of the aggressor country do not have the right to deprive national symbols.

Viner said this live on the propaganda show Solovyov Live. A member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia political party complained that the Olympics no longer unite people and bring peace, cynically remaining silent about Russia's invasion of Ukraine during the Olympic truce.

"Russia's flag and anthem are about belonging to the country, we are not refugees or homeless. How can Russia participate in a team of refugees? To compete without a flag and a homeland - why compete then? What kind of Olympics can there be without competing countries? Are we supposed to crawl on our knees with our hands up? The Olympics no longer shows itself in this way. It does not unite and is not a messenger of peace anymore, there is no friendship of peoples there," Viner said.

On December 8, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) allowed Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympics in neutral status. This applies only to individual events, and the athletes themselves must meet certain criteria.

Dictator Vladimir Putin did not give an unambiguous decree to his athletes on how to deal with the 2024 Olympics. Later, the IOC reduced the number of Russians who were allowed to participate in the Games, which will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Initially, it was reported that 8 Russians and 3 Belarusians had been selected.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, two-time Olympic champion Svetlana Ishmuratova made a nonsense statement that the world sports community could not exist without Russia.
