Robert Uzelkov reacts to the hate

Viacheslav Uzelkov's son Robert faced a wave of hate on social media after reacting to the death of his father, who passed away last Saturday. The young man, who had a difficult relationship with his father, reacted to the ex-boxer's death with the words "painful and unpleasant."

On his Instagram page, Uzelkov Jr. wrote that he was then bombarded with angry comments because he had previously disowned his father. He added that he had supported Viacheslav during his treatment and urged people to turn on their brains and not write hate at such a time.

"Over the past two days, I have never felt anything like this in my life: the death of my father and the wave of hate towards me and my mother. Yes, I disowned him, and this is my responsibility, I will not put it on anyone else – it was a mature, balanced decision caused by many events. But when he was hospitalized, I was there for him. When he had heart problems and was in the hospital, I also supported him as much as I could and wrote to him. There is no hypocrisy in my words, and I am heartbroken about what happened if you don't understand that," Robert said.

On November 11, Viacheslav Uzelkov was buried in his native Vinnytsia. In April, he underwent heart surgery.

As a reminder, Uzelkov left a mark in Ukraine not only with his sporting achievements but also with high-profile scandals. His life contained both great victories and difficult moments that made his personality even more prominent and vivid.

After Viacheslav's death, his ex-wife, Maryna Borzhemska, reacted to the tragedy. In turn, MP Mariana Bezuhla left a cynical post on Telegram. And host Ihor Kondratiuk recalled the last conversation with the former boxer.
