Simon faces criminal charges

French biathlete Julia Simon has been caught up in a major scandal after she was sued by her teammate. The winner of the Grand Crystal Globe and the overall winner of the World Cup last season is suspected of fraud.

According to Nordicmag, Olympic champion Justine Braisaz and another member of the French national team accused Simone of illegally taking their credit cards and making purchases. Thus, Brezzas filed a complaint with the French Biathlon Federation (Fédération Française de Biathlon) and claimed that her partner had spent between 1,000 and 2,000 euros during last year's Blink festival.

A criminal case has already been opened against the best biathlete of the world, the hearings on which should take place at the end of the summer. Simone herself denies all the accusations. In addition the athlete deleted her pages from the social networks.

We note that FFB held its own disciplinary investigation against Simone, but made no decisions against the biathlete.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the Russian Biathlon Union presented new uniforms of the national team, which fans called "up to their necks in blood".
