Victories in Putin's honor: Russia "blabbed" that they use sports for propaganda purposes
The president of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation (ARGF), Irina Viner, has blasted the fact that sport in a terrorist state is part of propaganda. She stressed that athletes' victories glorify not only the country, but also dictator Vladimir Putin, in whose honor the Russian flag is raised.
This was stated by Wiener on the air of the Match TV channel. A member of the United Russia party's supreme council and an ardent Z-patriot who supports the war in Ukraine, she called athletes, particularly rhythmic gymnasts, an example of patriotism for other citizens of the aggressor country.
"We came up with concerts that have now become very popular. A huge number of our viewers watch them. What do you think, does Match TV show us for nothing? No, because there are ratings. Children watch us and learn to be like you. You are an example for our whole country of serving sports, patriotism, fighting to stand on the top step of the podium, to have the flag raised in your honor and in honor of the president," Viner said.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko was the target of ridicule and mockery from Russian fans saying that Russian sports are not in isolation.
