"Usyk was stripped of his championship belt". Russian media found a reason to poison the Ukrainian
Russian media continue to use the slightest opportunity to show their readers how "bad" everything is in Ukraine. One of the most authoritative sports editions of the Russian Federation decided to please Russians with an article about "huge difficulties" in the life of Oleksandr Usyk.
Sportbox on August 30 released a material titled"Usyk was deprived of his championship belt. Why was the scandalous Ukrainian punished?"
The first half of the text tells about what happened in the fight Usyk - Dubois. How the Briton hit our compatriot below the belt, and that Daniel's promoter demanded that the WBA recognize the fight failed.
Only at the very end of the article the occasion put in the headline is mentioned. We are talking about the events of 2019 (!!!), when the Ukrainian boxer suffered a biceps injury, refusing to defend the WBC title. Then the World Boxing Council decided to give Usik the title of "champion on vacation", making the WBC belt itself vacant.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the fight Usyk - Dubois ended in the 9th round, when the Briton missed a heavy blow to the head. In total, Oleksandr struck his opponent 88 blows to the body and to the head.
In the 5th round the British boxer hit our compatriot below the belt. Usik took 5 minutes to recover, lying in the ring.
Some time later there was video evidence that Dubois hit Usyk below the belt on purpose.
Usyk's catman Anber later came to the Sky Sports studio, where he laid out this episode in the Ukrainian's fight point by point, citing undeniable facts of foul play.
