Krasiuk speaks out about the Usyk-Fury fight
After the Ukrainian's fight with Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs), the team of unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) will start working on a fight against Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs). A prerequisite for the fight to take place is the victory of the Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is known, over mixed martial arts fighter Francis Ngannou on 28 October.
This was announced by Usyk's promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk in an interview with the YouTube channel Tike Myson. He stressed that the fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion is the main goal of his client, and holding such a fight will be a priority for all boxing organisations.
"If Fury doesn't lose in his circus performance with MMA fighter Francis Ngang, then we will work on the Usyk-Fury fight next. Are defences mandatory? If we are going to fight for the title of absolute world champion, it will take precedence over any mandatory defence. Therefore, the contenders will have to wait until the fight is over," said Krasiuk.
It should be noted that Oleksandr and Tyson may fight this winter. Saudi Arabia intends to organise the Usyk-Fury and Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) - Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) fights on the same night. The media published the boxers' fees for the grand show.
