"Unfortunately..." Crimea complains about Russia's refusal to withdraw from UEFA

Oleksandr ChekanovSport
UEFA does not recognize Crimea as part of Russia

Players of Crimean clubs cannot even play in the second league of the Russian championship because of the rules of the competition and the position of the European Football Union (UEFA). The aggressor country refused to move to Asia and now has to comply with UEFA's requirements, which considers the peninsula part of Ukraine.

Valeriy Chaly, the general director of Sevastopol, complained about this in an interview with the propaganda publication Izvestia. The traitor to Ukraine sadly added that the players have to play only in the competitions of the so-called Crimean Football Union (CFU).

"Someone plays in the KFS championship, someone plays at a lower level. Unfortunately, since the RFU remained in UEFA, it has to obey the rules there. And according to them, Crimean players are considered legionnaires in Russia. Therefore, they cannot play in the second league, where legionnaires are banned. They can formally get into the first league, but their current level does not meet the requirements of this tournament," Chaly said.
