Former absolute world champion Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs) admitted that he had changed his mind about his result in the fight between Devin Haney and Vasyl Lomachenko. Initially, after the fight between Vasyl and Devin, Stevenson came to the ring and called Loma a clear winner.

A few days later, the 25-year-old Newark native re-watched the fight in Las Vegas and now believes it should have been either a draw or a very narrow victory for the Ukrainian.

"I just went back and rewatched it and I came to a different result than I did last time. To be honest, I think it was either a draw or Lomachenko 7-5. Before that, I had it 8-4 in favour of Loma," Boxing-social.com quoted Stevenson as saying.

At a press conference after the meeting with Haney, Vasyl himself said that he was absolutely sure of his victory.

According to the American portal, it is not surprising that Stevenson has already watched this fight twice in Las Vegas, as he may be next in line to fight Haney.

Shakur has already been a world champion in the featherweight and super featherweight divisions, and many in boxing believe that it is only a matter of time before he adds (perhaps several) belts in the lightweight division to his collection.

In April, Stevenson made his lightweight debut, defeating Shuichiro Yoshino (16-1, 12 KOs) at home. The fight ended in an early technical knockout.

The lightweight fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena between Haney and Lomachenko lasted all 12 rounds and ended with a unanimous decision of 116-112, 115-113, 115-113 in favour of the American. It is worth noting that the judges' notes, which were published after the fight, caused fierce debate among experts and fans.

Lomachenko's team announced that they were lodging a protest against the outcome of the fight. In addition, the fight's punch statistics confirm that the Ukrainian won at least five rounds.
