Ukraine's women's 3x3 basketball team started the European Games in Krakow with a victory. Our team consisting of Khrystyna Filevych, Miriam Uro-Nile, Oksana Mollova and Veronika Kosmach defeated the hosts of the tournament - Poland.

On their first competitive day, Yuriy Protsyuk's team won with a score of 19:16.

Our girls seized the initiative on the court from the very first minutes, making a 6-1 lead. Later on, the Ukrainians confidently led the match, playing as the first seed, and the maximum the Poles could do was to reduce the gap to one point.

With the score at 9:10, Ukraine picked up the pace, which immediately affected the performance. With 2 minutes to go, the Yellow and Blues led 15:11, but the ending turned out to be valid. Poland made an important two-pointer, but it did not affect the outcome of the match.

Ukraine's national team is in Group C, where they will play Lithuania, Poland and Estonia. The two best teams from the group will advance to the quarter-final round, and then the winners of the European Games will be determined according to the Olympic system.

The two best teams from Group C will compete in the quarter-finals against the teams from the group with France, Hungary, Czech Republic and Latvia. The first group stage matches have already been played there.
