Tyson Fury has been recognized as the sexiest athlete in the world
World boxing champion Tyson Fury has been ranked the world's sexiest athlete, according to the dating app Illicit Encounters, as reported by Marca. In the voting, which involved about 2,000 British women, the Gypsy King surpassed other athletes whose physiques were much closer to Apollo's.
Specifically, Tyson surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo, who held the title for having the most aesthetically pleasing physique among athletes for many years.
"Many believed that Fury did not possess the most aesthetic physique in professional sports, but at the same time, they recognized him as a man with great charisma. That's why British women chose him as the 'sexiest athlete in the world,'" stated the Spanish newspaper in its article.
The journalists clarified that this vote has a certain national bias, as several British athletes are among the top ten. Meanwhile, the top 10 includes several athletes not typically admired for their physiques, such as Lionel Messi or golfer Rory McClure.
Tyson Fury received a score of 9.3 points out of 10 among female participants. British boxer Anthony Joshua secured the second spot on the list, and Travis Kelce (American football player) dropped to third place.
The fourth spot is claimed by British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, followed by Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo in fifth place. The Norwegian forward for Manchester City, Erling Haaland, comes in sixth.
His City teammate Jack Grealish is in seventh position, and Irish golfer Rory McClure is eighth. Lionel Messi dropped to ninth place on the list, and former UFC champion Conor McGregor rounded out the rankings.
