"Those who are involved in the ban of the UOC..." Lomachenko broke his silence online and threatened Ukraine with consequences
Former world champion in three weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko has reacted angrily to plans to ban the UOC-MP in Ukraine. The 36-year-old boxer, who is known for his support of the Moscow-controlled church, threatened some consequences for the country.
Lomachenko wrote about this on the social network Instagram on his page, which is blocked on the territory of Ukraine. Breaking his long silence, the two-time Olympic champion noted that the initiators of the idea do not think about the future of the country's residents.
"Those who are involved in the ban on the UOC do not understand the consequences of what will happen next... Peace to all," Lomachenko left a comment.
The boxer also added a link to his post on Facebook, in which he quoted one of the chapters of the Gospel of Matthew under the video of the blogger "Denis at the microphone".
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky met with members of the Council of Churches and Religious Organizations, after which a bill aimed at uniting the Ukrainian clergy will be proposed to the Verkhovna Rada. And the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy of All Ukraine , called on the Primate of the UOC-MP, Metropolitan Onufriy, to engage in dialogue.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Vasyl Lomachenko did not mention Ukraine in his speech after his victory over Australian George Kambosos in May this year.
