"The shame is over": Leonenko criticized Dynamo players who think "everything is okay"
Former Dynamo Kyiv striker Viktor Leonenko harshly criticized the team's players after the defeat against Istanbul's Besiktas and their drop-off from the European Cup. The ex-Ukrainian national team player called the performance of the team disgraceful and emphasized the weakness of the attacking actions of Mircea Lucescu's wards.
Leonenko said this on his Telegram channel Leonenko Prosport, trying to analyze the game in Turkey. The best footballer of Ukraine of 1992-94 years added that he is shocked by the indifference of Kyiv players to what they demonstrated on the field and their behavior overall.
"The shame is over. Besiktas turned on in the second half. I don't know how to call the game ... The only shot in the 83rd minute.. I understand that they are weak. But I wonder if they ask themselves questions if they played well. I played against Barcelona. They could score. But we did something. Here is Besiktas and that's it. I just wonder if they are criticizing themselves. Do they think everything is okay? I told you we'll have surprises. They will just lose in the European Cup. Everyone," Lucescu was outraged.
It should be noted that the last time Dynamo dropped off the European Cup was in the 2005/06 season after being eliminated in the second round of Champions League qualification by Swiss side Tune.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Dynamo head coach Mircea Lucescu called the performance of his players in the current European Cup season decent.
