"The letter Z and the portrait of the national leader on the breasts". The new uniform of the Russian national soccer team has caused mockery of fans
Jogel, the company involved in the development of uniforms for the Russian national soccer team, has revealed some details of the new outfit. The brand's founder Artur Movsesyan said that the color scheme will remain in a red tone with the addition of national flavor.
"I can't reveal the design yet, we will have a separate presentation early next year. The uniforms will be red. I will say this - there were a lot of ideas, a lot of creativity. What was the inspiration? It's folklore," Championship.com quoted Movsesyan as saying.
Such an announcement caused ridicule among Russian fans, who began to imagine what the uniform with "folklore" would be like.
Some sarcastically suggested that there would definitely be a symbol of war and a picture of the Kremlin leader.
"The letter Z will be drawn and the portrait of the national leader on the breasts. Medinsky has already submitted samples of the uniforms to the Kremlin. There approved..." - users mocked.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, in January this year, the Russian national soccer team completely abandoned Adidas uniforms.
After the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Adidas suspended its partnership agreement with the RFU, but despite this, in the fall the Russian national team played three friendly matches in this outfit.
