Artem Dovbyk played an enchanting match
Ukrainian forward of Girona Artem Dovbyk made a spectacular debut for his new club in the Spanish league. The 26-year-old Ukraine international scored against Real Sociedad in the 1st round of La Liga and saved his team from a 1-1 defeat.
Our compatriot came on in the 64th minute, replacing Christian Stuani. After 8 minutes, Viktor Tsygankov broke through on the flank, twisted the defender and cut a pass to Artem. He sent the ball straight into the net with a header in the opposite direction of the goalkeeper.
It should be noted that this was Tsygankov's 6th assist in 19 matches. He also scored 3 goals. In March, Viktor became the first Ukrainian footballer in history to score a double in a match of the Spanish top flight.
Dovbyk joined Girona on 6 August, signing a 5-year contract. According to unofficial information, the Spaniards paid 6 million euros for Artem, of which 450 thousand will be received by the Danish Midtjylland, who owns part of the rights to the player.
