Ukraine's second-ranked player Marta Kostyuk (#39 WTA) was booed by French fans after the first round match of Roland Garros. Our tennis player lost in two sets to Arina Sobolenko (#2 WTA) from Belarus - 3:6, 2:6.

At the end of the game Kostyuk ignored the traditional ritual of shaking hands with the athletes, giving her hand only to the chair umpire-informer, and then she went to her things.

Sobolenko began to wriggle in front of the clapping audience, ostentatiously thanking them for their support.

The moment Marta started to leave the court, the stands started whistling and hooting after her. The Ukrainian waved back in cold blood to the inadequate fans.

Earlier, the Belarusian tennis player complained about the hatred of Ukrainians after she was supported by Lukashenko. In addition, Sobolenko stated that she had "done nothing to the Ukrainians".

It should be noted that at the Roland Garros press conference, the first racket of Belarus admitted that she was satisfied with the fact that she did not shake hands with the Ukrainians.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, Arina Sobolenko, who in 2020 signed a letter in support of Alexander Lukashenko's regime, spoke cynically about the war in Ukraine.
