The famous Ukrainian tennis player refused to play in the tournament in England
The famous Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko (#46 WTA) will not play at the WTA 500 tournament in Eastbourne (UK) reports BTU. The 34-year-old from Kiev was supposed to take the court against Madison Brengle (WTA No. 112) of the United States, but withdrew from the match. The reason is unknown.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, June 17, Tsurenko lost to Ukrainian Diana Yastremska at the start of the qualification tournament WTA 250 in Nottingham. July 3 starts Wimbledon, where Lesya will participate.
On June 1, Tsurenko advanced to the third round of the French Open tennis tournament with a prize fund of 49.6 million euros. In the 1/32 finals, the third racket of Ukraine met with American Lauren Davis (No. 52 WTA), but the latter in the second set refused to continue the match with the Ukrainian.
