The Ukrainian national basketball team won the quarterfinal match of the European Youth Championship Division B, confidently defeating the team of Netherlands with the score of 67:49. Dmytro Zabirchenko's team continues to fight for promotion.
After a close and tense first half the guys played a quality second half in defense, conceding only 20 points in 20 minutes of play and scoring 36. Our team won the rebounding battle, had better shooting numbers and scored more points after the opponent's losses.
The best in our team was Oleksandr Kobzystyi, who scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists (PE 25), center Bohdan Bryniuk scored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists (PE 22).
In the 1/2 finals match of the European Championship, the national team of Ukraine will play against Northern Macedonia, which defeated Great Britain in its quarterfinal (66:49).
According to the results of the European Championship in Division B, the three best teams of the tournament (the finalists and the winner of the match for third place) are promoted to Division A.
