Former WBO interim champion Joe Joyce (15-2, 14 KOs) gave a short interview after his defeat by Zhang Zhilei (26-1-1, 21 KOs). The British super heavyweight showed what his face looked like after missing punches from the Chinese boxer.

Joyce reflects on the outcome of the fight and promises to come back even stronger.

According to the CompuBox statistics portal, 40-year-old Zhilei threw 104 punches at his 38-year-old opponent, 38 of which hit the target. Of those, 29 were to the British man's head.

Judging by the published footage, Joyce did not suffer major injuries and his appearance was noticeably different from what it was after his defeat in the first meeting with Zhang.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, on the night of September 24, Zhilei knocked out Joyce and retained the title of "interim" WBO champion. The rematch between the boxers took place at the legendary Wembley Stadium in London.

The first fight between Zhilei and Joyce took place in April this year. The interim WBO world champion then sensationally suffered the first defeat of his career.

Joyce in his interviews stated that he would have no problem dealing with Usyk and taking the championship belt from him.
